One year on from the end of The End... how’s life changed?

Yes it has but not in the ways I thought it would, I seem to have been away for half of the last year. It has taken me a year to adapt.

Any regrets?

No but I miss the team, the energy, the feeling of doing something on the edge, and the sense of being involved.

You’ve been putting on your Shake It parties since The End closed, how’s it going?

Fantastic, that is a great change. Playing in new venues, one off spaces, the rawness of it all, it’s very refreshing.

Your just back from touring South America, how does the club scene compare with Ibiza?

It’s different as it is National rather than International like Ibiza. But the clubs are fantastic, the energy and warmth of the people amazing and to be there in their summer, our winter...

Which is your favourite club in Ibiza?

It’s tough that one because I have enjoyed playing at both Amnesia and Space a lot but Space has been my home and thus my heart.

What does 2010 hold for Layo and Bushwacka?

Lots of new music, the freedom from working at The End has allowed a lot more studio time so from new stuff on Olmeto to remixes for others, there’s lots of new music. On top of that in London, we have Shake It booked at four different, new spaces already organised and some very special guests...

Layo, thanks for your time.

My pleasure.
