Wow, so we’re only 2 weeks away from the Ibiza openings and things are shaping up to look like one of the best years yet! So with a whole host of chops and changes still being released even now, what’s new on the Ibiza grapevine…

DC10

Utter the words ‘Circo Loco’ to any Ibiza faithful and it will make them weak at their clubbed-out knees. To top of the buzz around their return, Circo Loco have released the full line-up for their opening party: Tania Vulcano, Zip, Matthias Tanzmann, ARPIARm DJ W!LD, Clive Henry, Davide Squillace, Cirillo, Dyed SOundorom, Dan Ghenacia, Tato, Mass Prod, Damian Lazarus, Rene, Andrew Grant, Jose De Divina, UMH…O, System of Survival, Garagem.
Opening on May 31st 2010, Circo Loco is set to see new residencies from favourites such as Seth Troxler as well as a host of old favourites and surprise guests. We can only cross our fingers (and toes) that Circo Loco and DC10 can see through the season without any closures.

Fuse

We all whooped with excitement when we heard that East London’s favourite Sunday party Fuse WILL be returning to Ibiza for 2010.
After the sad news that Delano’s was closing *sob*, nobody knew what was going to happen to it’s flagship (and free) party that had turned Tuesdays in to Fuseday in Ibiza 2009. But, just as we were about to give up hope, Fuse announced only yesterday that they’ll be returning bigger and better than ever at their new home, and one of our favourite places, Ushuaia.
Opening on Tuesday June 1st, their first party of the season will feature a guest set from Desolat star tINI and Fuse residents Seb Zito, Enzo Siragusa and Nima Gorji. Expect a number of surprise guests throughout the season, with a loyal, up-for-it crowd sure to be found there every week.
If you’re not able to make their opening party but you’re itching to party with Fuse in Ibiza, they’ll also be running parties on June 29th, July 27th, August 31st and closing on September 28th. As with last year, all parties run from 4pm until midnight and are completely free.

Cocoon

Those clever people at Cocoon HQ did a good game of keeping us waiting for their 2010 party details by drip-feeding us line-up details day by day, but finally we have the full listings!
True to form, they haven’t failed to disappoint, and have released acts such as Ricardo Villalobos, Richie Hawtin, Loco Dice, Nick Curly, Markus Fix, Dubfire and more. For full details, please click here.

GLAS

Home-grown, Birmingham-based party GLAS has this year joined forces with San-Antonio’s pride and joy Es Paradis for the 2010 summer season.
Hosting Thursday nights, we’ve been told that this gay and straight mixed brand brings a “show, sound and experience like no other, exploring the worlds between big room sounds, carnival and jackin’ house, fantasy, fiction, world-renowned DJ talent, mind blowing entertainment and interactive production” – wowzers. This is also the first time that a gay-led brand has resided in San Antonio, so expect them to arrive in style
Running June 17th to September 16th, we’re expecting full line-ups to be released in the next few weeks and we’re expecting a whole host of surprises.

KehaKuma

Kehakuma, is taking over Wednesday nights at Space Ibiza for 2010 with dj sets and live acts from 2009 returnees such as Nick Curly, Jamie Jones, and Guido Schneider, and will be adding to the already-strong lineup with the likes of acts such as François K, Booka Shade, M.A.N.D.Y., SIS, Tiefschwarz, Radio Slave, Seth Troxler, Clive Henry and many, many more. To say you should be excited is an understatement.

Hed Kandi

2010 see’s Hed Kandi head home to San Antonio where it belongs at beautiful club Es Paradis. Kicking off their season by announcing their theme ‘Circus Balearica’, IbizaCalling has no doubt that all Hed Kandi madness will be in full action with glitz and glamour galore, and the Hed Kandi sound for which they are so well known pumping all night long.
Expect a line-up full of Hed Kandi favourites and a host of live saxophonists and percussion acts.

Bouyancy

Summer 2010 marks the launch of Buoyancy, an intimate boat party taking place on a gorgeous 75ft catamaran taking 75 people on a 4 hour journey of “hypnotic beats, stunning coastline and magical sunsets”. After being lucky enough to go on one of their parties last year, we’ll be first in queue for our tickets. Banish all preconceptions of a west end ‘boat party’ – this is pure unadulterated bliss, with some of Ibiza’s most elite party people.
Bouyancy, who have announced Deepgrove as residents, will be running 8 parties throughout the summer departing from San Antonio Pier (near the Egg) on either Monday afternoons or Tuesday evenings for sunset. Check out party info at www.buoyancyibiza.com

Ibiza Rocks

Ibiza Rocks are stronger than ever this year, and with a recent announcement that Biffy Clyro and Bombay Bicycle Club will be opening their party on June 8th and  Ian Brown will be headlining on June 15th, we can only imagine thatt things can only get better. We couldn’t even begin to imagine who they have close the season!
After moving their after party to Es Paradis (Looks like this place is going to be hot this year!), and with acts never seen in Ibiza before, Ibiza Rocks is set to shine in 2010. Acts to look out for and ones that we personally are looking forward to include Calvin Harris on July 6th,  Dizzee Rascal on July 27th, and Pendulum on September 7th to name but a few!

So that’s it! But, whilst we’re so close to the openings, don’t expect it to stop there. Keep your eyes peeled on the IbizaCalling.com Clubbing News page and Facebook Fan Page for up to the minute information.

See you in Ibiza!
Love,
IC x
