System @ Mint Club Leeds

System started life as a tiny party in a pub on an estate just outside of Leeds city centre. At first managing to attract djs like Slam, Billy Nasty, Funk D’Void, Dave Angel, Vince Watson and Jamie Anderson to play to less than 200 people in an honest, intimate environment, their free parties soon became legendary with eager beaver clubbers travelling from afar to see what all the fuss was about.

These days, famous for bringing us such mammoth parties as Cocoon in the Park in 2009 (Missed it? Missed out!), they’ve now taken the leap and have entrusted Mint Club, Leeds, to take their parties to the next level, allowing them to book more DJs and host more regular events.

Their line-up for 2010 has got the people at IbizaCalling HQ salivating at the thought of it, bringing the cream of the crop to Leeds and giving us one hell of a reason to have one hell of a party. Loco Dice… Luciano… and a whole host of others tba, they’ve really pulled it out the bag this time.

After their sell-out event last March with the legendary Loco Dice, what better way to mark their second birthday than to invite Dice and his Desolat comrades back to to Leeds for this exclusive label showcase. A dj of the highest calibre, an original resident of DC-10 and Tribehouse, a regular at TimeWarp and DEMF and more importantly one of IbizaCalling’s favourite artists: Loco Dice stands for mind blowing dj-sets stretching from house to techno, unearthing every corner of percussive, electronic music along the way. Accompanying Dice will be a new addition to the Desolat family, Tini, and Guti, who has been making waves amongst the techno elite and has been dubbed "one to watch".

Luciano is widely-regarded as a veteran and innovator of the formidable Latin house scene to emerge from South America in recent years. His distinct musical style earned him a plethora of critically-acclaimed releases on Perlon, Cocoon, Mental Groove, Get Physical and, of course, on his own hugely successful Cadenza Records. A headline dj in his own right, Luciano has toured the world’s most influential clubs and festivals including D-Edge, Cocoon, Fabric, Creamfields and Time Warp, and via his visionary Cadenza record label, can be credited with recognising and nurturing the talent of Guido Schneider, Reboot and Rhadoo, amongst others.
