Cocoon is the brainchild of master puppeteer Sven Vath and 2009 will see it celebrate its tenth year in Ibiza. The musical content and high artistic values of the campaigns that have been and still are unrivalled in Ibiza, truly show how successful it is and over the past ten years Sven’s music has significantly influenced numerous competitors.

The night has picked up a huge following, creating a cult-like status between techno lovers. With each season, Sven creates a new theme for Cocoon which allows him to take revelers on an uninhibited journey through some deep, wicked, pulsating Techno.
2008 saw Cocoon party under the theme of ‘Disco Invasion’, with Sven acting Galactic Commander and pumping out ‘Cosmic Electronic Grooves from planet Minimal Techno Funk’. This was no Saturday night fever though, with a unique mish-mash of disco funk era with techno, house & minimal heralding a new stage of electronic music.

The ‘theme’ for this season is yet to be announced, but as we see Cocoon celebrate its tenth birthday in Ibiza, be sure to expect something big. Also expect to see familiar faces Ricardo Villalobos and Richie Hawtin taking the helm, supported by techno favourites Loco Dice, Luciano, Marco Carola and a host of other big names on the techno scene.
