Pure Pacha was the creation of DJ Pete Tong, who was worried that clubbing had become too corporate and wanted to inject the glamour back into his night at Pacha. Using ‘Pacha’ in the name of the night to honour the glamour and prestige that the brand was known for, Tong really built this night up to great success.

So, last season when Pete dramatically left the night after 5 years at the helm to run a night at Eden, people were left wondering what would come of the house that Tong built. Naturally, there were die-hard fans that stayed faithful and spent their Friday nights at Eden, but thanks to one of the biggest line-ups yet Pure Pacha showed that it wasn’t a one man show.

Instead of replacing Tong with one headliner, Pure Pacha followed a more creative route and invited a cross-section of the hottest DJ talent and emerging stars to work their magic – and it worked perfectly.

Expect to see unstoppable acts such as Swedish House Mafia, Fedde Le Grand, Sebastian Ingrosso and Trentemoller mixing up their unique style of play. Also turning things on its head, UK urban music scene pioneer Trevor Nelson can be found in the Global room, providing a complete switch of soul, funk and RnB.

The Line-up from 2008 was like a who’s who in the DJ world, so expect to find it hard to choose which night you’re looking forward to most this year.
