Top 10 beaches in Ibiza
Ibiza has many wonderful beaches, here we list our 10 favourite spots for you to soak up the sun...

Cala Bassa...Cala Bassa boasts some of the clearest, cleanest water you'll ever see in Ibiza with the softest golden sand and plenty of pine trees surrounding the beach, making it perfect for picnics and family days out. Large rock formations lie on either side of the beach and there are views across the bay towards San Antonio.
Benirras...Located on the north east coast, Benirras is a beautiful wide curved beach, best known for its hippy vibe and spectacular sunsets. Access is by dirt track via Porto San Miguel (Puerto Balanzat), or a narrow lane off the San Miguel (San Miquel) to San Juan (Sant Joan Baptista) road. There are a couple of very good and reasonably priced restaurants on one side of the beach. On Sundays, join the hippies on the beach watching the sun go down to the magical sound of the bongo drums.
Cala Carbo... Cala Carbo is a small, sheltered sandy cove surrounded by rocky, pine clad hills, located along a narrow road off the San José to Cala Vadella road in the south west of the island. One of Ibiza's most private beaches, with a combination of sand and pebbles, and beyond the sand there are boulders for kids to scramble over.
Estanyol... Estanyol is a tiny secluded cove off the beaten track surrounded by rocky cliffs and lush green foliage. You can find this little gem off the road that leads from Jesus to Talamanca to the north of Ibiza Town. Although the water's edge is very rocky there is a long plank for bathers leading into the crystal clear water.
Las Salinas... Named after the salt lakes in the south of Ibiza, this mile-long crescent of sand on the southernmost tip of the island is bordered by a small pine forest. Balearic beats play out from the hip party bars, the legendary Sa Trinxa Bar and the Jockey Club. Water sports are available, including catamarans. The waves are sometimes big enough for body-surfing and hiking paths wind through the conservation area behind.
Cala Jondal...Located 4 miles to the southwest of Ibiza Town, Cala Jondal is best known for its two main hang-outs: Blue Marlin and Tropicana. This curved sand and pebble beach combines laid-back style with elegant sophistication.
Es Xarcu...A tranquil pebble beach and one of the local's favourites, Es Xarcu is a pine-shrouded rustic cove surrounded by pine tree covered cliffs and hills located off the beaten track between Cala Jondal and Porroig. There is a small stretch of sand at the western end and the crystal clear waters are perfect for swimming.
Es Cavallet...A beautiful long stretch of white sand located to the south of Ibiza Town, famously one of Ibiza's 'official' nudist beaches and renowned as gay-friendly, Es Cavallet's appeal also lies in its natural beauty. Surrounded by sand dunes and palms, it is also a popular area to walk.
Cala Xuclar...A tiny beach in a stunning setting on the north coast of the island surrounded by pine groves and made up on white sand with crystal clear emerald waters, perfect for swimming.
Cala Conte/Conta... Surrounded by sand dunes and rocky cliffs and boasting stunning views out to the islands dotted along the coastline, Cala Conte offers a golden stretch of sand with shallow and crystal clear water perfect for children swimming, and a rockier stretch leading to a sheltered cove where the sea is a little deeper. Located to the south of San Anotonio on the east coast of the island, Cala Conte is also one of Ibiza's most renowned sunset spots, boasting breathtaking views from one of the beach’s three restaurants.
